Devouring Alara Reborn
Ever since the weekend of the alara reborn prerelease events, I've been literally "brooding" over reasons why I should make a deck with Dragon Broodmother.
Here is my list I've come up with so far.
- I got 2 foil broodmothers just for entering a couple events.
- Its one of the best looking prerelease cards I've seen.
- Who doesn't like being able to put dragons after dragons into play?
Tukatongue Thallid
Creature - Fungus 1/1 Mana Cost: Card Text: When Tukatongue Thallid is put into a graveyard from play, put a 1/1 green Saproling creature token into play.
Gluttonous Slime
Creature - Ooze 2/2 Mana Cost: Card Text: Flash, Devour 1
So with those cards set, I looked for more cards that would just add to the craziness. Believe it or not there are plenty of other cards I found that would work great in a mainly green and red deck. Here are some of them.
Nantuko Husk
Sprouting Thrinax
Creature — Lizard 3/3 Mana Cost: Card Text: When Sprouting Thrinax is put into a graveyard from play, put three 1/1 green Saproling creature tokens into play.

Caldera Hellion
Creature — Hellion 3/3 Mana Cost: Card Text: Devour 1 (As this comes into play, you may sacrifice any number of creatures. This creature comes into play with that many +1/+1 counters on it.) When Caldera Hellion comes into play, it deals 3 damage to each creature.
Scarland Thrinax
Creature — Lizard Mana Cost: Card Text: Sacrifice a creature: Put a +1/+1 counter on Scarland Thrinax.

Creature — Zombie Insect Mana Cost: Card Text: Sacrifice a creature: Nantuko Husk gets +2/+2 until end of turn.
Putrid Leech
Goblin Assault
Eventually after a lot of play testing on MWS, I decided that I should either add bitterblossom or just give up on winning. heres the list I've settled on I need 4 cards to round out the side board.
